We’re inviting filmmakers to bring them to life. Through our Direct The Darkness Sweepstakes, creators from around the world can take one of our official scripts and transform it into a 60-second vertical horror film designed for the social platforms where modern stories live.
The filmmaker behind the top-performing film will be flown to Los Angeles to direct a full-length episode of the show.

The Challenge

These stories are designed for vertical storytelling — fast, cinematic, and native to platforms like:

Your mission is simple:

How It Works
1. Choose a Script
Browse our library of official Your Dark Tales scripts and pick the story you want to bring to life.
2. Create Your Film
Shoot and edit a 60-second vertical short film inspired by the script.
Interpret the story however you want — style, tone, performance, visuals.
Just make it immersive.
3. Submit Your Film
Upload your finished short and submit it through our portal.
What Happens Next
The Top 100 submissions will be selected and featured on the Your Dark Tales YouTube channel.
From there, the audience takes over.
Your film will compete alongside the other finalists, and the highest-performing short will determine the winner.
The Prize
One filmmaker will be selected.
That creator will be:
✦ Flown to Los Angeles
✦ Invited on set
✦ Given the opportunity to direct a full-length episode of the Your Dark Tales series

I represent that this work is original and I have secured all necessary location and talent releases. I confirm no copyrighted audio has been used outside of the verified royalty-free libraries or the provided Your Dark Tales Creator Kit.
I grant "Your Dark Tales" (New Power Studios) a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to upload, distribute, and monetize this video on their channels. Selection for the "Top 100" is at the sole discretion of the Your Dark Tales curation team.
I acknowledge that winners are determined by Your Dark Tales channel metrics, and I agree to a strict YouTube Analytics audit prior to any prizes being awarded. Any use of bot farms, click-rings, or purchased engagement manipulation will result in immediate disqualification.
